Comic Book Skylines is a year-long exploration of London from above — shot between October 2014 and October 2015 from a Brick Lane rooftop. From this single vantage point, I watched the city transform through shifting light, moods, and seasons.
The skyline became my cast of characters: The Heron Tower, Tower 42, St Paul’s Cathedral, The Gherkin, The Cheesegrater, and the ever-evolving Aldgate. Each day brought a new story — some drenched in sunlight, others cloaked in dramatic cloud.
I wanted to challenge the cliché of London as endlessly grey and gloomy. Spending a year watching the sky prove everyone wrong felt like uncovering a secret — that London, in all its weathered moods, is full of colour, character, and life.
